JHET Early Career Scholar Award

About this program

HES offers the annual JHET Early Career Scholar Award to recognize the best article in the Journal of the History of Economic Thought by an early career scholar, with eligible articles drawn from a rolling three-calendar-year window. Applicants must be current graduate students or have completed a Master’s or Ph.D. within the four years prior to the award year and must have published in JHET as a sole author or only with other early career co-authors. Award benefits include a US$600 travel stipend, complimentary HES conference registration and event tickets (opening reception, Neil Niman Young Scholars Lunch, awards banquet), and one year of free HES membership with online JHET access; a three-member JHET editorial subgroup selects winners based on originality, significance, and impact while avoiding conflicts of interest.
