Joan and Douglas P. Zipes Publication of the Year Award

The Heart Rhythm Society's Joan and Douglas P. Zipes Publication of the Year Award annually recognizes the single research article published in Heart Rhythm Journal that most advances understanding or treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. All research articles published in the journal during the year are eligible; the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors select the winner based on priority, citations, usage, Altmetrics, and judged scientific excellence, novelty, and clinical impact. Recognition includes plaques for first and lead authors, a $1,000 honorarium, complimentary Heart Rhythm meeting registration and up to $2,500 travel/accommodation stipend for the first author, paper certificates for other authors, and announcement at the Society’s annual meeting; the award is supported by the Joan and Douglas P. Zipes Endowment Fund.
