John D. Michenfelder New Investigator Award

About this program

The Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care (SNACC) offers the annual John D. Michenfelder New Investigator Award to recognize early-career researchers whose peer-reviewed original research advances neurosurgical anesthesia, critical care, or care of neurologically impaired patients. The recipient receives a recognition plaque, an opportunity to present orally at the SNACC Annual Meeting, and website recognition. Applicants must be active SNACC members, be residents, fellows, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, or faculty within their first three years of appointment, and attend the Annual Meeting. Submitted manuscripts must have been published or accepted in a peer-reviewed journal within the 12 months ending May 30 of the submission year, with applications due June 1.
