John Fisher Memorial Prize in Aesthetics

The American Society for Aesthetics sponsors the biennial John Fisher Memorial Prize to support emerging scholars in aesthetics through a $1,000 award, travel to the ASA annual meeting, publication in JAAC, and an opportunity to present the winning essay. The next deadline is January 15, 2027, and essays may address any topic in aesthetics and must be no more than 7,500 words. Applicants must have completed a terminal degree, be in the early stages of their profession, and be current ASA members. Submissions must be original, unpublished, not under review elsewhere, and include an abstract, qualification statement, and clear identification as a Fisher Prize submission through the JAAC online system.
