John Harries Prize

About this program

European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) offers the John Harries Prize, a EUR 2,500 award presented at the ESPGHAN Annual Meeting for the best paper/presentation in pediatric gastroenterology. Winners are announced and presented with a certificate at the Meeting’s closing ceremony. Eligible applicants must present an abstract at the ESPGHAN Annual Meeting; both Members and Non‑Members may compete. The ESPGHAN Scientific Committee identifies the 15 highest‑scored abstracts for committee review during the Meeting, and the relevant Committee selects the winner based on clinical/scientific input, methods, results, conclusions and presentation.
