The American Philosophical Society offers the John Hope Franklin Dissertation Fellowship to support outstanding doctoral students at American universities or exceptional American doctoral students abroad who are in the process of completing their dissertations. The fellowship provides a $25,000 stipend for one academic year, along with additional funds for research expenses.
