John Reps Prize

About this program

The Society for American City and Regional Planning History (SACRPH) awards the John Reps Prize, providing $1,000 for the best doctoral dissertation and $500 for the best master’s thesis in U.S. and Canadian city and regional planning history; transnational or comparative histories that include the U.S. or Canada are also eligible. Eligible works must have a final submission date between August 1, 2023 and December 31, 2025. To nominate a dissertation or thesis, email a PDF or an open‑access link to a PDF to each of the three committee members (Todd M. Michney, Kathe Newman, and David Freund) with the subject line "John Reps Prize"; the listing does not specify a formal deadline or whether self‑nomination is permitted.
