The American Musicological Society’s Joseph Kerman Fund provides publication subventions to support scholarly music books and digital projects of high academic merit that are unlikely to be commercially viable, established to honor Joseph Kerman. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis and are reviewed by the AMS Publications Committee; specific award amounts are not listed on the fund page. Eligible applicants include authors and publishers of music studies whose projects demonstrate clear scholarly value despite limited marketability.
