About this program
The Josiah Charles Trent Memorial Foundation Endowment Fund, administered through Duke University’s Office of Foundation Relations, provides modest grants of $500–$10,000 for 12-month projects in human sexual function, medical history, medical ethics and humanities, and international studies. The Fall 2026 cycle will support projects conducted January 1–December 31, 2027, with proposals due October 18, 2026. Duke University faculty and staff are eligible to apply; undergraduate and graduate students may not apply directly. The Fund does not support indirect costs, publication subventions, or generally visiting scholars.
