Junior Colgate Prize

About this program

Colgate Oral Health Network, administered via the British Society for Oral and Dental Research (BSODR), offers the Junior Colgate Prize: £300 to the undergraduate judged to give the best verbal presentation and £3,000 to the winner’s department to support undergraduate research, with the department required to report intended use; the winner will be invited to represent BSODR at the Hatton Awards at the next IADR General Session. Eligibility is limited to students who carried out their research at a UK institution as part of an undergraduate course (including intercalated dental science degrees), are within two years of graduation at the time of the meeting, and contributed at least 75% of the work; previous recipients are ineligible and entrants must be fully paid BSODR/IADR members and available to present. Applicants must submit a 300‑word abstract via the BSODR abstract submission site in their own name (submissions are accepted only from the researcher), may be considered for only one BSODR prize, and the award is judged on an oral presentation at the BSODR Annual Meeting.
