About this program
Junior League of Sioux City offers Mildred Anderson Community Grants of up to $2,500 to fund short‑term, volunteer‑driven projects that address community needs within the greater Siouxland tri‑state area. Applications open October 1 with a January 15 (noon) deadline and final determinations made in mid‑April. Eligible applicants are charitable organizations (501(c)(3)) located within about a 30‑mile radius that have not received a Mildred Anderson grant in the prior year, are not currently involved in or under consideration for a Junior League project during the League year, propose a project compatible with the Junior League’s purpose, and will utilize community volunteers to carry out the work.
