About this program

THRF Group WA's Barry Marshall Travel Awards (Round 1, 2026) provide competitive grants of up to $2,500 to assist Western Australian health and medical researchers with some costs of attending national or international scientific conferences. Eligible applicants are health professionals or medical researchers based in Western Australia who are pursuing a research project or initiative connected with a Western Australian Public Health Service Provider (including public–private partnership providers). Funding covers conferences commencing between 1 February 2026 and 31 January 2027, requests must be submitted before travel commences, and Round 1 applications close 8 April 2026 at 12:00 PM AWST.
