Ken and Jean Royer Family Fund – Retail Florist Education Travel Grant

Administered by the American Floral Endowment, the Ken and Jean Royer Family Fund provides an annual travel reimbursement grant (established 2024) to support traditional retail florists’ participation in live industry educational conferences and events. The grant reimburses 50% of conference registration and travel expenses up to $2,000, with awards issued within 30 days after the Endowment receives confirmation of registration and expenses; applicants must cover all upfront costs because funds are paid as reimbursements. Eligible applicants are owners, managers, or employees of brick-and-mortar retail floral shops who are first-time attendees of the specific conference they plan to attend and must apply for an industry event in the coming year. Examples of eligible events include state floral association conventions and national educational conferences (e.g., Great Lakes Floral Expo, SAF, AIFD, Cultivate, Teleflora, FTD, Floriology); applications are due October 1 each year.
