Ken Nickoles Emerging Leader Award

About this program

The Association of School Business Officials’ Maryland chapter (MD ASBO), with sponsorship from American Fidelity, offers the annual Ken Nickoles Emerging Leader Award to recognize members who demonstrate leadership, volunteerism, and commitment to advancing school business professionals. The award supports professional development by covering ASBO International Annual Meeting and Expo registration, one year of ASBO International membership, lodging, travel, and meals.

Applicants must be current MD ASBO members for at least three consecutive years, work full time in one of the eight school business disciplines represented by MD ASBO, and have served on an MD ASBO committee for at least three years or currently serve on its Board of Directors with a recommendation from another board member. A 1–2-page statement addressing the applicant’s MD ASBO service, professional development, and commitment to school business leadership must be submitted to the executive director by April 1.
