Kindling Fund

About this program

The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts’ Kindling Fund, administered by SPACE in Portland, Maine, provides approximately $65,000 annually in grants of $1,500–$5,000. Funding supports artist-organized projects across Maine that engage audiences through inventive uses of visual art, collaboration, critical dialogue, experimentation, and unconventional models for presenting artists’ work. Eligible applicants are artists organizing projects in Maine, with priority for proposals that demonstrate risk-taking, meaningful public engagement, and collaborative approaches.
