Kindness Close to Home

About this program

The Columbus Foundation’s Center for HumanKindness invites individuals, families, community organizations, and place-based nonprofit organizations in central Ohio to strengthen neighbor connections through small, casual gatherings and deeper community initiatives. Registered hosts (individuals and families) receive a complimentary "neighborliness" kit—including name tags, a welcome banner, invitations, napkins, and tips—mailed while supplies last. Place-based nonprofits (for example, civic associations and neighborhood-specific nonprofits) are eligible to apply for grants to pursue more substantive neighbor-engagement projects, though specific award amounts and application details are not provided on the posting.
