Klerman Prize for Exceptional Clinical Research

The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation awards the annual Klerman Prize (for exceptional clinical research) and Freedman Prize (for exceptional basic research) to recognize innovative advances in neuropsychiatry conducted by its Young Investigator grantees. Prizewinners are chosen by committees drawn from the Foundation’s Scientific Council and receive high‑profile recognition intended to advance promising pilot data and proof‑of‑concept work. Eligibility is limited to investigators who hold or have held a BBRF Young Investigator Grant and whose nominated work was conducted under that program. Selection emphasizes originality, scientific rigor, and potential impact on understanding or treating mental illness.
