Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation Fellowship Program

About this program

The Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation offers two-year fellowships totaling $100,000 ($50,000 annually) to support postdoctoral and junior faculty research on the causes, prevention, and treatment of ADHD or depression among children and adolescents, particularly those from underserved or minoritized populations. Projects should provide tangible benefits to children and families and position investigators for future federal or national research funding; applications open August 15 and are due November 20 annually. Eligible applicants must hold a Ph.D. or M.D., have completed clinical training, be based at a U.S. institution, and be nominated by their department chair, with an on-site primary mentor. Applicants must demonstrate research promise and commitment to children’s mental health, and cannot already hold major research awards such as an NIH R01; projects require IRB approval before funding is finalized.
