About this program
The Knight Emerging City Champions Fellowship, supported by 8 80 Cities and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, offers $5,000 in seed funding and a $500 tech bundle to young civic innovators aged 18-35. The program aims to support projects that enhance community connection, foster creative expression, and build local resilience in one of the 8 Knight Foundation resident communities. Eligibility is limited to U.S. residents who can attend a virtual orientation on August 4, 2025, and travel to Toronto, Canada, for the KECC Studio from August 13 to 16, 2025. Fellows gain access to mentorship, a peer network, and additional funding opportunities.
