LabMedUK Impact Award

About this program

The Association for Laboratory Medicine offers the LabMedUK Impact Award to recognise Member individuals or groups who have implemented initiatives that produced demonstrable positive change to services (e.g., patient pathways, health systems, laboratory workforce, environmental sustainability, or inclusive healthcare). Eligible initiatives must be implemented (not solely research), be innovative to the sector or workplace, and have been delivered within the five years prior to the 09:00 am GMT submission cut-off on 28 February each year; awardees present their work at LabMedUK and receive a memento (no monetary prize). Applications are by self-nomination from Association Members via an anonymised online form with brief (max 1,000-character) sections on background, actions and impact; submissions are scored by at least four Executive Committee members against implementation and impact criteria, and successful applicants must be able to deliver a plenary lecture.
