Laboratory Medicine Foundation Award (LabMedUK)

About this program

The Association for Laboratory Medicine (LabMedUK) annually presents the Laboratory Medicine Foundation Award to recognise an outstanding contribution to laboratory medicine by an Association member normally resident in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland. Nominations (including self-nominations) must be submitted via the Association’s online nomination form by 9:00 am GMT on 31 January and include a supporting statement of up to 10,000 characters describing the nominee’s contribution. Eligible applicants must be Members of the Association and available to deliver the Laboratory Medicine Foundation Lecture at the subsequent LabMedUK meeting. The recipient is selected by at least four members of the Nominations Committee and scored against criteria such as leadership in innovation/service delivery, teaching/training achievements, national/international roles, peer‑reviewed publications and research leadership; the awardee delivers the plenary lecture and receives a memento.
