LAF Research Grant in Honor of Deb Mitchell

About this program

The Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Research Grant in Honor of Deb Mitchell awards one $25,000 grant annually to support a 12–18 month research project that generates practice-relevant knowledge to increase landscape architecture’s capacity and impact. Funded work should produce actionable insights or tools for professional design practice (for example toolkits, guidance, or models) and LAF favors collaborative, implementation-oriented projects. The Principal Investigator must be trained as a landscape architect and currently engaged in the field as a researcher, educator, or practitioner, and preference is given to teams that partner professional practice with academic or research institutions.
