Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) awards one $25,000 Deb Mitchell Research Grant annually to support open‑competitive research that advances practice‑relevant and emergent topics in landscape architecture. The two‑stage process requires a pre‑proposal submitted via SlideRoom by 11:59pm EST on December 1 (a $25 application fee applies); shortlisted candidates will participate in a web‑based juror interview in late January/early February and may be invited to submit a full proposal due March 1. Applicants must demonstrate appropriate expertise and institutional or partner commitment and submit required materials such as a project abstract, preliminary budget and PI CVs, with proof of English proficiency or university transcripts if applicable. A jury evaluates proposals based on relevance and impact to landscape architecture, methodological rigor, team composition and support, research trajectory, and a clear dissemination plan.
