Lalit and Anubha Gupta Pilot Award in PSC Research

The AASLD Foundation’s Lalit and Anubha Gupta Pilot Award in PSC Research provides a $50,000, one-year grant to support novel, high‑impact studies on the etiology and/or pathogenesis of primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), emphasizing projects with little or no preliminary data. Awards are intended to fund new, not ongoing, projects conducted at an accredited non‑profit institution in the United States, Canada, or Mexico. Eligible applicants range from postdoctoral fellows to Associate Professor/equivalent, must hold active AASLD membership, commit at least 20% effort, and — if at or below Assistant Professor rank — have an AASLD‑member mentor; employees of the NIH, FDA, and CDC are ineligible. Applicants with existing federal funding may only apply if the proposed work is entirely distinct and cannot be completed with current funds; deadline December 7, 2026, with institutional and application limits.
