Lamar Gives 365 (Barnesville-Lamar Community Foundation)

Barnesville-Lamar Community Foundation (part of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia) administers Lamar Gives 365, a pooled-member grant program that awards up to $2,500 for non‑sectarian community projects serving Lamar County, with half of member contributions available for current-year grants and half placed in an endowment. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, schools, government entities, higher‑education institutions, and religious organizations (only for non‑sectarian outreach) that serve Lamar County residents. Applications are submitted via the Foundation’s online portal (typically opening in August with a usual November 15 noon deadline), finalists present a strictly enforced 2‑minute presentation at an early‑February finalist event where grants are voted on, and awarded funds must be expended by November 15 of the award year. Applicants must upload required documents (project budget, board authorization and list, operating budget, IRS determination, recent audit or Form 990) and must have final reports on file for any prior grants; final reports are due within 60 days of fund depletion, before applying again, or no later than one year from the cycle deadline.
