Larry McNeill Research Fellowship in Texas Legal History

The Texas Supreme Court Historical Society (TSCHS) offers the annual Larry McNeill Research Fellowship in Texas Legal History, a $2,500 award for the best research proposal on any aspect of Texas legal history. Established in 2019 in honor of former TSCHS president Larry McNeill, the fellowship supports projects intended to produce an article or book. Applicants must submit a proposal of no more than two pages specifying the research purpose and intended end product, along with a complete curriculum vitae, via the online Apply Now form by November 15, 2026. Only electronic submissions received by the deadline will be considered; the recipient must be present at the TSHA Annual Meeting to accept the award, and judges may withhold the prize.
