Lars Gaustad Award

About this program

George Blood Audio/Video/Film/Data funds the Lars Gaustad Award, an annual recognition that provides five years of IASA membership including Technical Committee membership to broaden TC expertise and perspectives in audiovisual preservation. One award is given each year (winner announced in December); nominations may be submitted at any time by any individual, including self-nominations, and are assessed by a Nomination Committee established by the IASA Technical Committee. Candidates should be professional sound/audiovisual archivists or specialists from under‑represented institutional settings, regions facing environmental or political challenges, or complementary fields (e.g., computer/data sciences, materials science, chemistry, project management) and must support the principles and standards set out in IASA technical publications (e.g., IASA‑TC 03, 04, 06).
