The Latin American Studies Association (LASA), the world’s largest professional association for Latin American and Caribbean studies, is convening LASA2026 in Paris to support dissemination of research and cross‑disciplinary collaboration focused on the region’s relation to European colonization, Atlantic revolutions, and anticolonial state formation. The gathering facilitates presentations, panels, networking, and related support for scholars and institutions engaged in research and outreach on Latin America and the Caribbean. Eligibility is open to scholars, students, and professionals across disciplines who study the region; participants are expected to follow LASA submission, registration, and conduct policies (membership is common among applicants).
