LEF Moving Image Fund

About this program

The LEF Foundation’s Moving Image Fund supports nonfiction film and video projects at the Early Development, Pre-production, Production, and Post-production stages through multiple annual application cycles. Applicants submit a written proposal, budget information, and stage-specific work samples, with Production applications beginning with a January letter of inquiry and other stages accepting applications on designated annual or twice-yearly schedules. Early Development applicants provide two samples of prior work, while Pre-production, Production, and Post-production applicants generally submit current project footage; Post-production funding is limited to projects previously supported by LEF. Awardees must secure a confirmed 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor before receiving funds.
