About this program
Rasmuson Foundation’s Legacy Grants provide awards exceeding $250,000 for significant capital projects, strategically important programs, and innovative solutions addressing community or statewide needs in Alaska. Eligible applicants include Alaska-based 501(c)(3) organizations, local or Tribal governments, and, in some cases, faith-based organizations undertaking broad community-impact projects. Applicants must demonstrate organizational capacity, successful community collaboration, strong community support, sustainability planning, and generally multiple funding sources; individuals are ineligible. Applicants should consult a program officer and submit a Letter of Inquiry by February 1 or August 1, with selected organizations invited to submit full proposals.
