Legacy Grants

About this program

The Rasmuson Foundation's Legacy Grants program offers awards exceeding $250,000 to support capital projects, strategic programs, and innovative solutions addressing significant community or statewide issues in Alaska. Eligible projects include construction, renovation, large-scale creative works, historic preservation, and pilot initiatives. Applicants must be established 501(c)(3) organizations, local or Tribal governments, or faith-based organizations with broad community impact, demonstrating a proven track record of success, fiscal and management capacity, and community support. The application process involves a conversation with a program officer, submission of a Letter of Inquiry, and mandatory site visits, with the full process taking six to twelve months.
