Leslie Bernstein Investigator Development Grant

About this program

The AAFPRS Foundation’s Leslie Bernstein Investigator Development Grant provides up to $15,000 for innovative clinical or laboratory research advancing facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, with projects completed within three years. The award supports young faculty members who conduct research and train resident surgeons, including career-development activities and responsible-conduct-of-research training. Applicants must reside in the United States or Canada, be AAFPRS members in good standing, and have completed clinical training within the past 10 years; applicants with existing funding as principal investigator for the same research are ineligible. Applications require departmental and key-personnel support letters, appropriate IRB/IACUC approvals when applicable, a Letter of Intent by December 15, and a complete online application by January 15.
