Lester R. Curtin Award

About this program

The American Statistical Association’s Lester R. Curtin Award supports promising early-career health statisticians by providing $1,000 for conference registration and travel, plus up to $400 for a continuing education course at an ASA conference within one year of the award. Applicants must work in health statistics—including public health policy or clinical applications—or be enrolled in graduate training for such work, with preference given to those with five or fewer years of experience and current graduate students. Nominations are due March 1 and must include a CV, career-focused personal essay, and two reference letters.
