Lifetime Achievement Award

About this program

The Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) presents the Lifetime Achievement Award to honor sustained contributions to ob-gyn medical student and resident education, leadership, and service; the recipient designates a $10,000 gift to an APGO program, and receives a statue, letter, complimentary CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting registration, and guest accommodations for the presentation. Eligible nominees must hold an MD, DO and/or PhD, be current APGO members, have held prior APGO leadership roles, and hold senior academic or leadership rank at their home institution; past Lifetime or Career Achievement Awardees and current APGO Board and Development Committee members are ineligible. Nominations are solicited only from current APGO Board and Committee members and require a memo to the nominee plus the nominee’s CV highlighting APGO activities compiled into a single PDF and emailed to Marianne Poe; APGO staff verify eligibility and completeness and a finalist is presented to the Board for vote (nominating Board members must recuse). Key dates: nomination deadline September 15, award notification October 15, and presentation at the 2026 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting.
