Lifetime Award for Accomplishments in Ethics Education

About this program

The APA Ethics Office annually presents the Lifetime Award for Accomplishments in Ethics Education to recognize an APA member psychologist for lifetime contributions to ethics education across all fields of psychology, including classroom and online teaching, workshops, supervision, mentoring, continuing education, and dissemination via publications and online media. It also acknowledges exceptional contributions in settings such as licensing boards, schools, hospitals/clinics, organizations, and courts/prisons, as well as work developing ethical guidelines or advancing ethical theory and practice. Eligible nominees must be APA member psychologists with documented, outstanding and innovative lifetime accomplishments in ethics education demonstrated through activities such as courses, presentations, workshops, supervision, publications, or service. The award carries no specified monetary amount and applications are open through October 13, 2026.
