About this program
The Amarillo Area Foundation’s Louise Bowers Slentz Advise and Consult Fund provides grants of up to $300,000 for programs and capital projects addressing direct health care, post-secondary education, animal welfare, and emergency needs in the Texas Panhandle. Priority is given to organizations in Gray, Wheeler, Roberts, Donley, Carson, and Hemphill counties, with annual support also provided to the Pampa Animal Welfare Society. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, qualifying government entities, K–12 schools, colleges and universities, and faith-based organizations serving the community; funded activities must benefit residents of the 26 northernmost Texas Panhandle counties. The deadline is May 29, 2027.
