Louise H. Kellogg Mid-Career Medal

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) established the Louise H. Kellogg Mid‑Career Medal in 2025 to recognize one mid‑career scientist annually for significant interdisciplinary contributions to understanding planetary evolution. Recipients receive an engraved medal, recognition at AGU's annual meeting, two Honors Reception tickets, and conferment of AGU Union Fellowship (subject to membership requirements) with possible induction into the AGU College of Fellows. Eligible nominees are researchers within 20 years of their terminal degree working in areas such as geomagnetism, paleomagnetism, mineral and rock physics, planetary sciences, seismology, deep‑Earth studies, tectonophysics/volcanology, geochemistry, or petrology. Nominators/co‑nominators must be active AGU members (peer or self‑nomination permitted), all parties must adhere to AGU conflict‑of‑interest and professional conduct policies, and the nomination window is listed as 5 January–2 March (year not specified).
