Louise H. Kellogg Mid-Career Medal

About this program

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) awards the Louise H. Kellogg Mid-Career Medal annually to one mid-career scientist for significant interdisciplinary contributions to understanding the evolution of planets. Typical fields include geomagnetism, paleomagnetism/electromagnetism, mineral and rock physics, planetary sciences, seismology, deep Earth studies, tectonophysics/volcanology, geochemistry and petrology; recipients receive an engraved medal, recognition at AGU’s annual meeting, two Honors Reception tickets, and conferment of AGU Union Fellowship (with possible induction into the College of Fellows if membership criteria are met). Nominees must be within 20 years of their terminal degree; nominators/co‑nominators must be active AGU members, peer or self‑nomination is permitted, and all parties must adhere to AGU’s conflict-of-interest and professional conduct policies.
