Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) offers the Lynn & Joan Carmichael STFM Recognition Award to honor individuals—STFM members or nonmembers—who demonstrate outstanding national‑level leadership in advancing family medicine education; the award includes up to $2,000 travel support, a commemorative award, and complimentary registration to the STFM Annual Spring Conference. Nominations must be submitted electronically by an STFM member and include a nominator statement, up to three letters of support (including institutional and regional/national references), and the nominee’s CV; members of the STFM Nominations Committee are ineligible while serving. The STFM Nominations Committee selects the recipient (approved by the STFM Board), and nominations are due annually by September 18.
