Macon Area Habitat for Humanity Sustainability Fund

The Community Foundation of Central Georgia, with initial funding from The Peyton Anderson Foundation, administers the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity Sustainability Fund to provide small grants supporting neighborhood-led quality-of-life programming in Macon Area Habitat focus neighborhoods (currently Lynmore Estates and Pleasant Hill). Awards are small (likely under $500) and intended for projects that serve all residents, produce a positive neighborhood impact, and include plans for sustainability beyond one-time events. Eligible applicants are neighborhood groups or organizations with projects located in the designated neighborhoods; applicants must register for a CFCG portal user ID, submit an application with a one-page project budget (PDF), and meet recurring cycle deadlines (12:00 pm on March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31). CFCG performs due diligence after each deadline with notifications typically within two months, and funded recipients must submit a final report with detailed expenditures within 60 days of fund depletion or no later than one year after the cycle deadline before applying again.
