Malcolm Blackwell Award (BTS)

About this program

The British Toxicology Society (BTS) administers the Malcolm Blackwell Award biennially to recognize an individual who has served as an inspirational role model to early-career toxicologists. The award includes a commemorative certificate, delivery of the Malcolm Blackwell Award lecture at the BTS Annual Congress, plus complimentary registration, accommodation, and travel to the congress. Nominees must have been BTS members for at least two years prior to the nomination deadline, while nominators must be early-career BTS members typically within ten years of completing their highest degree. Application materials consist of the nominee's full CV, a summary not exceeding 250 words explaining how the nominee has inspired the nominator, and confirmation of the nominator's early-career status, with winners announced by the end of February preceding the Annual Congress.
