About this program
The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) and the International Hydrofoil Society (IHS) jointly administer the Mandles Prize for Hydrofoil Excellence, an annual student competition awarding up to $4,500 for outstanding work in hydrofoil engineering and design. Prizes include a $2,500 First Prize and up to two $1,000 Honorable Mention awards, and ASNE has historically published the winning entry in the Naval Engineers Journal.
