Margarita M. Hanson Fund — Publication Subventions for Music before 1800

The American Musicological Society administers the Margarita M. Hanson Fund, which provides subvention support for the publication of books in any language on music or musical culture before 1800 and commemorates publisher Margarita M. Hanson. Funding amounts are awarded case-by-case and proposals appropriate for the fund are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis by the AMS Publications Committee. Eligible submissions include monographs or edited volumes addressing music or musical culture prior to 1800; applicants must follow the AMS Publication Subventions guidelines and submission procedures.
