About this program
The American Chemical Society’s Physical Chemistry Division (PHYS) offers the Marsha I. Lester Award for Exemplary Impact in Physical Chemistry to recognize significant contributions of any kind to the field. The recipient receives a $10,000 honorarium, presents research at the subsequent fall ACS meeting, and is honored at the PHYS reception. Nominees must be ACS PHYS members; current PHYS Executive Committee members, subdivision and council representatives, and individuals standing for election to these roles are ineligible during their service, and self-nominations are not accepted. Nominations are due November 30 annually and must include a nomination form, letter, two supporting letters, CV, selected publications list, and assurance of in-person meeting participation, submitted as one PDF to acs-phys@colostate.edu.
