Martin Frank Travel Award (APS Summit)

About this program

American Physiological Society’s Martin Frank Travel Award provides travel reimbursement and mentoring/networking support to broaden participation in the physiological sciences by enabling trainees and early-career faculty to attend the American Physiology Summit. Awards provide up to $1,500 toward transportation and hotel expenses (no international travel) and are contingent on available funding; awards cannot be deferred. Eligible applicants are graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career faculty (within five years of their PhD) who are first-generation baccalaureate recipients or from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and who are attending or conducting research at U.S. institutions. Applications are submitted online, applicants must register for the Summit at the early registration rate, and selection is based on reasons for attending, CV, and recommendation letters; awards are issued several times a year per conference webpages.
