About this program

Mary Judd Research Grant, administered by the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists Research Fund (MSOTRF), provides one annual award of up to $1,000 CAD to support research on occupation and client‑centred occupational therapy for a one‑year granting period (April 1–March 31). Principal investigators must be CAOT and MSOT members in good standing for at least six months, work in Manitoba, and conduct projects within Manitoba that have not been initiated prior to completion of the grant review. Applications must be received electronically (USB or CD-ROM) at the MSOT office by 4:00 p.m. on the first Monday of November and include membership confirmation, completed application form, CVs (≤5 pages each), letters of support, ethics documentation (certificate required before funds are released), and a proposal (maximum six double‑spaced pages excluding references and appendices) with objectives, rationale, detailed methods, budget and personnel. Applications undergo administrative screening and independent scientific review (review may take up to three months); awarded investigators may not draw salary from the grant and must submit a final report with financial accounting by June 30 following the granting period.
