About this program
The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) offers the Master Dermatologist Award to recognize an Academy member whose career has made significant contributions to dermatology and to AAD leadership or educational programs. The recipient is honored at the following year’s Stars of the Academy Recognition Reception and featured in DermWorld. Nominees must have national or international prominence, recognized expertise, and longstanding AAD membership; sitting members of the Council on Member Services are ineligible. Applications or nominations are due February 1 each year for consideration in the following year’s cycle.
