Mathilda B. Canter Education and Training Paper Award

About this program

The Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy offers the Mathilda B. Canter Education and Training Paper Award for the best paper on psychotherapy education, supervision, or training, with a $500 cash prize and recognition at the American Psychological Association’s annual meeting. The winning abstract will also be published in Psychotherapy Bulletin. Applicants must be Society members, and the paper must be based on work conducted by the first author no more than two years after completing a graduate degree, including a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation. Submissions must follow APA style, be no longer than 25 pages, and include separate blinded manuscript, title page, and cover letter materials submitted by March 1.
