McKnight Clinical Translational Research Scholarship in Cognitive Aging and Age-Related Memory Loss

About this program

The McKnight Brain Research Foundation, in partnership with the American Brain Foundation and the American Academy of Neurology, funds the McKnight Clinical Translational Research Scholarships to develop early-career clinician-scientists investigating cognitive aging and age-related memory loss. Each scholarship provides $65,000 per year for two years plus $10,000 per year for formal education in clinical research, with up to two awards made annually through 2028. Eligible applicants are early-career clinician-scientists proposing translational research on cognitive aging or memory loss; the annual application window opens in Spring 2026 and selections are vetted by the AAN Science Committee and McKnight trustees.
