AATS Member for a Day Program

About this program

The American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) offers its Member for a Day Program to provide medical students, surgical residents, early-career surgeons, and physician scientists with exposure to cardiothoracic surgery and networking opportunities during the AATS Annual Meeting. Awardees receive complimentary all-access registration, participation in dedicated sessions, and a $500 stipend for travel and accommodations for up to four nights. Applicants must be eligible medical students, surgical residents, select first- or second-year integrated cardiothoracic residents, or APSA-member physician scientists, and must submit a CV, a support letter, and a one-page statement of goals and subspecialty interests by December 1, 2026.
